Tamshell Machining Capabilities
Our high-tech, highly-advanced Mori Seiki and HAAS Vertical Milling Centers have the versatility and flexibility to machine any precision component, from prototypes to larger production runs.
Our precision machining centers use dual spindle rotary indexers that can perform multiple operations during a single setup. With 360 degrees of axis rotation, 240 degrees of tilt, and up to 4th & 5th axis programming, our milling machines can reach the difficult angles for the most complex jobs.
We recently expanded our line of routing and milling capabilities to 50” x 20” x 20”, with new Mori Seiki DuraVertical 5100 4th & 5th axis machines. We have also added a large Haas GR-510 Gantry to our lineup. Tamshell milling machines meet component tolerances as precise as +/-.0001″, depending on the characteristics of the machined material.
Our State-of-the-art Mori Seiki and HAAS CNC Lathes utilize live tooling, which “mills and drills” your parts while they are being turned. This helps cut down on secondary operations, delivering your parts faster and helping to reduce cost.
It doesn’t get much more precise than Swiss machining. Most of the parts we produce are between 1/16” to less than 1/2″, and we do it well!
Our finely tuned Citizen Swiss Screw Machines and Traub Automatic Screw Machines provide precision machined components that range from 1/64” to 13/16” and 1/32” to 2 3/8” in diameter respectively, with tolerances as precise as .0001” in some cases. We can machine a diverse set of materials using this equipment, including some that cannot be machined through conventional means or turning/milling operations.
